Minutes of Meeting January 27, 2016
The Unity Sports Boosters Club met on Wednesday, January 27, in the Middle School Cafeteria. President Obert called the meeting to order with 15 members present.
The secretary’s report was given by Sarah Donley, and approved by the club.
The treasurer’s report was given by Kelly Miller and approved by the club.
Membership: current membership is 71
Old Business:.
AD Report: Girls’ basketball is currently 19-5, there are four more games and we host the regional in 2 weeks. Boys are 16-5 and have 1 more home game.
Baseball and softball start February 29, track a couple of weeks earlier.
MS; 8th grade boys regional is Saturday at Brown County.
Coaches reports:
Brad Begeman: girls are 19-5, just knocked off Liberty, who is ranked 8th in the state. We are getting votes in state rankings. Selling tickets to Subway shootout. Our girls will play Friday night two years in a row.
Kevin Krietemeyer: non basketball players are lifting.
Greg Hildebrand: has about 24 kids signed up to play softball.

Old Business:.
- MVIT: Money was down due to losing a couple of local teams.
- Memorial money usage: Coach Krietemeyer brought a wish list of items up of $4300 – looking to add equipment for girls and younger kids to use.
- Softball: additional uniforms are needed to cover a large incoming freshman class and 1 senior. The most needed would be five. Total for five is $424.90 – asking for half. Sara Klusmeyer and Tammy Hildebrand made motions to approve.
- Middle School track uniforms: Have never had uniforms, need about 40 or possibly up to 60. Asking for ½ of $1345.00. Sara Klusmeyer and Tammy Hildebrand approved the motion.
- 3 on 3: Greg will get officials, kitchen committee will meet after this meeting. Tammy & Seth have sent out registrations. Baseball and softball players will be scorers. Krietemeyer will bring a clean up crew from the football team. Wendy Kuhn will find workers to fill brackets.
- Boys locker room: The locker room has been fixed up by numerous volunteers and materials bought came to $221.87. Wendy Kuhn made a motion to pay and Andy Obert 2nd. Approved by club.
- Hospitality room for girls’ regionals: should be under $100 for three nights.
