Old Business:
- Election of officers: Wendy Kuhn resigned as Vice President. Sherri Fuller was nominated to succeed her. Wendy Kuhn made the motion to accept, and the motion carried.
- Softball field: Lots of work going on. Would like four picnic tables for the field similar to the ones at the baseball field. Donna made a motion to buy the tables and Andy Obert 2nd.
- Middle School girls basketball uniforms: Since it is too late to have them for this fall, Rob is getting his request in for next year. Four years ago, ½ the cost was $3,000. He also needs to know his account balance so he knows how much fundraising needs to be done.
- Assistant football coach: In late February, a coaching position was cut. Coach Krietemeyer would like to ask Sports Boosters to pick up ½ the salary, which would be $1600. Donna reported that they are also asking Friends of Unit 4 to pick up a portion. We need to know how many organizations are donating to the salary before making the funds allocation. This item tabled until the August meeting.
- Pratt memorial: $306 an idea may be to spend it on one of the softball tables. Andy Obert will check with Terri Pratt.
- Superintendent search: Peggy Duesterhaus reported that 22 people applied for the superintendent’s position. It has been narrowed down to 4. 18 of the applications were complete. Two were brought in for a second interview last night. An offer was made to one and they have not heard back.
- Next Meeting: The plan is to have hotdogs and burgers grilled at the high school baseball shelter, provided by boosters. Everyone bring a dish.
- Fundraising cards: Profit wasn’t very good last year. They will be handed out around Labor Day and will be given 7-8 days to sell. There were no incentives.
