Unity Sports Boosters Club
Minutes of Meeting December 15, 2010
The Unity Sports Boosters Club met on Wednesday, December 15, 2010, in the Middle School Cafeteria. President Goertz called the meeting to
order with 9 members present.
The secretary’s report from November was approved by Donna Jansen and Peggy Duesterhaus.
The treasurer’s report was given by Rick Goertz in Julie’s absence. He reported a beginning balance of 23,221.78 with receipts of $63.74, and disbursements of
1,995.25. The ending balance is 21,290.27, with 16,290.27 in the checking account. There is one $5,000 CD. Treasurer’s report was approved by Donna Jansen and Sue
Woodworth.
Membership: current membership is 81
Old business:

Electronic sign: Table until spring
·
Trophy case: Greg will check into updating
the remaining cases, which now look shabby.

Baseball field dirt: no
update
·
MVIT:Sheryl Kelsall agreed to head up rope
holding.
Sherri got $2 off on all pizzas plus 1 free for each 10
Hospitality room – was mentioned that only actual workers should eat there and not
their kids as well.
parking: stll have no chair - Mrs. Lucie will get ag kids to work on - Heath Richmond will be helping.
Announcers and video: Sue Woodworth heading up
Still need a responsible student or someone to play music at half time. HOF books are being printed now, and frames are done. The foundation is having the reception in the band room.

Trivia night committee met again - tentative date is Feb. 19, or Feb. 5 is backup date. Have not heard back from the winery. Need to decide what they need for
workers. Will encourage each sport to have at least one team representing them.
New Business:

Band uniform donation: Greg made motion to donate $500 2nd by Seth.
·
Sports table cloths - $12.50 for Cheerleading. Melanie Duncan made motion to pay, 2nd by Seth Klusmeyer.
AD report: finalizing MVIT Girls' tournament and fully into basketball.
Coach' s reports:
Carothers: 3-4 right now Palmyra Friday and Canton on Tues. Have had productive practices.
Greg – about 1/2 way thru 7th getting better - 8th still stuck.
MS volleyball - 14 8th graders taller and stronger, 17 7th graders working hard.
First game is Jan 18.
Next meeting Jan 19 at 7:00. Meeting was adjourned by Donna Jansen and Sue Woodworth.
