Unity Sports Boosters Club
Minutes of Meeting February 10, 2016
The Unity Sports Boosters Club met on Wednesday, February 10, in the Middle School Cafeteria. President Obert called the meeting to order with 10 members present.
The secretary’s report was given by Sarah Donley, and approved by the club.
The treasurer’s report was given by Kelly Miller and approved by the club.
Membership: current membership is 71
Old Business:
Peggy Duesterhaus reported from the school board meeting that a search committee has been formed to find a new superintendent. The high school gym bleachers have been approved for 3 more years. If a new gym is built, all safety codes will have to be met and will have to be handicap accessible.
AD Report: Girls basketball – for the 8th straight year the regional championship will feature Unity vs. South Fulton. Boys have two more games – tomorrow regional seedings come out. Dawson Moore signs tomorrow to play football at Culver-Stockton College.
Coaches reports:
Kevin Krietemeyer: 15 freshmen coming in- JV group looking good.
Seth Klusmeyer: 7th volleyball is 9-4, and took 3rd place in the Quincy tournament. Both groups are playing well.
Middle school track starts March 7, high school has been running.
Middle school football has joined the Big 10 conference. This will allow them to play in more games.
Plans are being made to spruce up the entrance to the football field.
Meeting was adjourned by Greg Hildebrand and Sherri Fuller.
The next meeting will be March 9 at 6:00 to prepare for 3 on 3.

Old Business:
- 3 on 3: Forms have been sent out. Kelly has sent all invoices. T-shirts are in progress.
- Memorial money usage: Motion was made to put memorial money into the athletic account for use at Kevin Krietemeyer’s discretion. Motion was made by Sherri Fuller and 2nd Tammy Hildebrand.
- After prom donation: The club received a letter from Bill Dorethy asking for a donation – motion made by Wendy Kuhn to donate $350 as in past years and 2nd by Kevin Krietemeyer.
- High School gym spotlight: Request from Sherri Fuller for $500 for installation of spotlight at center court and for the American flag. Andy Obert made a motion to approve and 2nd by Wendy Kuhn for up to $500. Something needs to be installed to protect the light from flying objects.
- All-star game sponsorship: Adam Donley and Dawson Moore were selected to play in the WBBA all-star game in Pittsfield, March 19. Andy Obert made a motion to approve the $40 sponsorship for each player. Sherri Fuller 2nd.
