Unity Sports Boosters Club
Minutes of Meeting November 17, 2010
The Unity Sports Boosters Club met on Wednesday, November 17, 2010, in the Middle School Cafeteria. Vice President Hildebrand called the meeting to order with 15 members present.
The secretary’s report from October was approved by Donna Jansen and Tammy Hildebrand.
The treasurer’s report was given by Julie McAllister. She reported a beginning balance of 26,606.72 with receipts of $751.12, and disbursements of 4,136.06. The ending balance is 23,221.78, with 18,221.78 in the checking account. There is one $5,000 CD. Treasurer’s report was approved by Marcia Cornwell and Susan Blickhan.
Membership: current membership is 77.
Old business:

Fencing:Went from 10 ft. gate to 6 ft. gate. Extra materials will be kept and put toward the girls’ fence.

Tailgate:Total profit 1049.52
·
Electronic sign: No update
·
Gym wall:completed and looks very nice.
·
Hospitality room update: Under budget with two to go.
·
Fall banquet: Went smoothly.
·
Baseball field dirt: $1500 to condition the field, take material and incorporate into, that keeps the dirt from getting hard and crusty. 10 ton ($3000) would be the max.
We are fortunate to have good bluff dirt to add it to. It is available at FS. It lasts, doesn’t dissolve or go away.

MVIT: honorary coaches – new a few more larger shirts. Motion to purchase 2xl shirts made by
Mary Ann Bentzinger and 2nd by Sara Klusmeyer.
Need suggestions for rope holder chairperson.
Admission price changes? Richard Klusmeyer made motion to send 10 passes to each school. Everyone else pays. 2nd by Sherri Fuller.
New Business:

Purchase of a roaster and 2 coolers for general booster club use 1st motion by Julie McAllister, 2nd by Tammy Hildebrand

Band Uniform donation: Peggy Duesterhaus not here, tabled to Dec. meeting.
·
Sports table cloths - $12.50 for Cheerleading. Melanie Duncan made motion to pay, 2nd by Seth Klusmeyer.
·
Girls’ basketball uniforms – revote on amount for uniforms – approx $100 over approved amount. Motion to approve additional made by Seth Klusmeyer and 2nd by Tammy Hildebrand.
AD report – MVIT brackets went out today – Football made playoffs, VB won their regional.
Coaches– Greg 7th grade won first game in Liberty – play tomorrow against Winchester. 8th grade is still trying to get 1st win. Monday
here, vs. Hamilton, first home game.
WIVC all conference football: First team: Tackle Thomas Walsh, Receiver/End Brandon Mayfield, Lineman TJ Klitz, second team: Running back Jacob Miller, Lineman Reed Bentzinger, Linebacker Andrew Miller, Defensive Back Jacob Miller, Honorable mention: Tackle Paul Freeman, Running back Kyle Vandermaiden, Receiver/end Austin Uppinghouse, Quarterback Aaron Wittler, Linebackers James Whelan, Austin Uppinghouse, kicker Alex Blickhan
