Minutes of Meeting October 12, 2016
The Unity Sports Boosters Club met on Wednesday, October 12 in the Middle School science room. President Obert called the meeting to order with 15 members present.
The secretary’s report was given by Sarah Donley, and approved by the club.
The treasurer’s report was given by Kelly Miller and approved by the club.

Frank Cash: Two senior nights this week, Thursday and Friday.
Clayton Tallcott will compete at the state cross country meet at Normal
Middle school boys basketball opens October 31.
High school girls basketball begins practice October 31.
Golf boys competed in the sectional for the first time in school history as a team.
Seth Klusmeyer: Volleyball varsity is 16-7, two tournaments left - #2 seed in the Brown County regional. JV is 15 or 16-1.
The next meeting will be November 9 at 7:00 in the middle school cafeteria.
Greg Hildebrand made a motion to adjourn, Tammy Hildebrand seconded.

Old Business:
- Pratt Memorial: Coach Krietemeyer said this morning he would get his recommendations to Frank, but hasn’t yet. Tabled until November meeting.
New Business:
- Approval for pullovers from card sales: Incentives for cards sales – 21 students sold 20 or more, 3 sold 15-20 – they will receive pullovers as well, as it is more expensive to print up three t-shirts. Still may be able to sell some of the cards to the staff and recoup some of the expense. Maximum of $1084 was approved for purchase of pullovers. Motion made by Donna Jansen, 2nd by Marcia Cornwell.
- Policy on paying coaches by sports boosters: Marcia Cornwell suggested that we consider making it a policy that the club no longer pay coaches’ stipends, beginning in 2017-18. Andy made the motion, and Maria Connoyer 2nd.
- 3 on 3 date: March 11 will be the date, if it is held. A discussion was held about whether or not it is still a viable fundraiser. A decision will be on the agenda for November. Sod busters is March 18.
- HOF: Donna Jansen reported that the committee for the Hall of Fame has met and selected the 2016 recipients. They are Brent Voth, Bill and Janet Hilgenbrinck and the 1964 baseball team. She asked for up to $100 to cover the reception. Motion made by Marcia Cornwell, and 2nd by Missy Voth.
- MVIT: Frank Cash will be the chair. The dates are December 27-29. Holly Klusmeyer and Melissa Obert will head the hospitality room. All teams will be the same as last year. Brown County may be in next year. This is Payson’s last contracted year.
