Membership: current membership is 84.
Old business:
- 3 on 3
tournament: Discussed setting the date for 2016 – Will revisit in August.
- Discount
cards for Next School Year: Determined that a $10 card is the price that
works best to sell. A committee was formed to investigate the possibility of creating
our own cards, and pocketing more of the profit. The committee consists of Wendy Kuhn, Seth
Klusmeyer, Missy Voth, Donna Jansen, and Frank Cash will also be invited. The decision should be made by May 20. Andy Obert made the motion, and Missy Voth
seconded.
- Volleyball
uniforms: $525 is half the cost – Donna made the motion and Andy Obert 2nd.
- Football
uniforms: They are buying new uniforms as the old ones are no longer
available to replace. They need 60
sets. The total will be 13,250, asking
for $4000. This includes pants. The new
uniforms from Under Armour will be available for seven years according to the
manufacturer. The parents group has
discussed the new uniforms at length and this is the decision. There are some
people from Payson that will give a couple of thousand. Sarah Donley made the motion and Andy Obert 2nd. Coach Krietemeyer estimates 15 players from
Payson next year.
- School
transportation costs: Earlier in the year, Mr. Kurz asked the club to
consider making a donation toward the transportation of athletes to their
games/events. This was discussed at
length, concerning the expectation of the club to continue such a large
donation, when it will deplete our reserves completely in a few years. There was input from Phil Conover, and Mr.
Kurz joined the conversation after the school board meeting. Donna Jansen made
the motion that we give a $10,000 donation to the school towards transportation
costs. Wendy Kuhn 2nd.
- Nominating
Committee for new Officers: All
officers continue the same as last year, with the exception of the election of
the new president, Andy Obert. Phil
Conover and Seth Klusmeyer made the motions to approve.
AD Report: No ADs present, but Seth Klusmeyer announced to the club that Frank Cash had been hired as High School AD for the coming year.
