Minutes of Meeting September 14, 2016
The Unity Sports Boosters Club met on Wednesday, September 14 in the Middle School science room. President Obert called the meeting to order with 12 members present.
The secretary’s report was given by Sarah Donley, and approved by the club.
The treasurer’s report was given by Andy Obert and approved by the club.

AD & Coaches reports:
Greg Hildebrand: Middle School softball finished-had a respectable season for a young group.
Middle School baseball finished 6-17, won 3 of the last 5 games.
Middle School football finally got a game in after the first two were rained out.
Cross Country doing well.
High School football 3-0 – play Brown County Friday.
Golf doing okay – they are young and few of them can drive.
Middle School Girls basketball – first game is the last of September.
Middle School Boys basketball – start practice Oct. 3.
Fifth and sixth girls basketball starts Monday.
The next meeting will be October 12 at 7:00 in the middle school cafeteria.
Sherri Fuller made a motion to adjourn, Tammy Hildebrand seconded.

Old Business:
- Pratt Memorial: As no suggestions were received from coach Krietemeyer, this item tabled until October meeting.
- Boys basketball uniforms: Up to $3500 was approved. Missy Voth and Maria Connoyer made the motions.
- Assistant Football coach stipend: Friends of Unit Four and football parents groups will each pay $1000, so our contribution is down from the $1500 originally asked for. Donna Jansen made the motion and Andy Obert seconded. 2 opposed the motion.
- Golf stipend: Official request received, but no dollar amount specified. Discussed whether ½ of the salary could come from the golf account. Sarah Donley made the motion to pay, Craig Burwinkel 2nd. Andy Obert made the suggestion that from next year forward, the team has to make an effort to raise half the coach’s salary, as they turned down the fundraising opportunity at the sports boosters trivia night.
- Corn Hole set: More tickets are being sold at volleyball games than at football.
New Business:
- Donation of pork chop leftovers to UMS baseball for regional games: In exchange for taking water from their supply. Motion made by Craig Burwinkel 2nd by Greta Frankel. 150 were sold at the first game and ran out.
- Put forth half for new grill: Andy Obert bought new grill for use at football game. Friends of Unit Four purchased half, wanted to work together to keep event grill for future and possible large events. $215.46 is half the cost. Maria Connoyer made the motion to pay, Donna Jansen 2nd.
