Unity Sports Boosters Club
Minutes of Meeting January 23, 2011
The Unity Sports Boosters Club met on Sunday, January 23, 2011, in the Middle School Cafeteria. President Goertz called the meeting to
order with 9 members present.
The secretary’s report from November was approved by Sue Woodworth and Donna Jansen.
The treasurer’s report was given by Rick Goertz in Julie’s absence. He reported a beginning balance of $21,290 with receipts of $9,217.26, and disbursements of 10,898.16. The ending balance is 19,609.37, with 14,609.37 in the checking account. There is one $5,000 CD. Treasurer’s report was approved by Sue Woodworth and Sherri Fuller.
Membership: current membership is 81

MVIT:
Donna thanked everyone who helped and asked for suggestions for next year. Tammy said it would work better to get
liter bottles of soda for the cheerleader hospitality room. Possibly contact Unity sportsmans club to run parking next year. Receipts were down because West
Prairie and Rushville didn’t have good crowds. Passes worked well.

Band Uniform donation – have received several thank yous.

Trivia night committee St. Edwards church is the location. Teams will consist of 8 people each. Entry fee is $80 per team. A spaghetti dinner will be included with the entry fee. No kids are allowed on the teams. Date is Feb. 19. The golf team will serve the meal. A DJ will ask the questions and play music between.
Not all participants have to be from the Unit #4 school district. There may be a few silent auction items such as team signed balls. Register by calling Andy Obert or filling out the form. Already have 7-8 teams. Hoping for 15. Deadline is Feb. 4. Will help offset the drop in MVIT profits.

3 on 3: Sat, March 12 beginning at 8:00. Entry deadline is Feb. 25. Brackets will be done the next week. Mailing will go out Friday. Changes: cleaning up -
need to get a team assigned to this. Need to make a schedule and give to coaches. Move March meeting to March 9 and to 6:00 p.m. to fold shirts, etc. Seth has a
cabinet in his office to use for storing MVIT and 3 on 3 supplies, so those items need to be brought in.

Trophy cases: Greg has measured for the new trophy cases but his call has not been returned yet.
AD report: Everything going smoothly – just scheduling makeup games.
Coach' s reports:
Greg – 7th grade ended – lost by 2 to West Prairie – played good ball. 8th grade start Sat. at Nauvoo-colusa against Carthage.
Sue – 8th – 13 players 1stgame lost to West Prairie in 3 but pleased with their play.
7th– lots of work to do
