Unity Sports Boosters Club
Minutes of Meeting March 29, 2017
The Unity Sports Boosters Club met on Wednesday, March 29 in the Middle School cafeteria. President Obert called the meeting to order with 12 members present.
The secretary’s report was given by Sarah Donley, and approved by the club.
The treasurer’s report was given by Kelly Miller and approved by the club.
Membership: current membership is 46.

AD & Coaches reports:
Frank Cash:
Currently spending a lot of time rescheduling games due to the rain. Baseball is currently 3-3, softball 1-1. Probably won’t play for the rest of the week.
Discount cards for next year – Frank says waiting until school starts works better for getting the cards/money back. May sell remaining cards from this year at a discount or donate to after prom.
Seth Klusmeyer: 7th volleyball ended 17-4, lost in the regional championship, 8th grade 10-11, lost in regional semifinals.
The next meeting will be April 12 at 7:00 in the middle school cafeteria.
Luke Maynard made a motion to adjourn, Missy Voth seconded.

Old Business:
- 3 on 3: was cancelled due to lack of teams (29 registered). A discussion is currently going on with Kim Boccardi about future plans for rejuvenation, dates, etc. Craig Burwinkel took the meat from the freshman class back for another event.
New Business:
- Nominating committee: Donna Jansen, Seth Klusmeyer and Andy Obert will serve on the committee.
- After Prom donation: Andy received a letter requesting a donation to the After Prom. A motion to match the previous year’s $350 was made by Sherri Fuller, and 2nd by Missy Voth.
- Middle school boys uniforms: Luke Maynard presented a completed form – ½ the cost is $2200. Motion was made by Craig Burwinkel and 2nd by Maria Connoyer.
- Under Armour program: Maria Connoyer told of a deal with Under Armour that could get us a discount on uniforms. Frank will explore with Brad Gooding.
- Basketball coaches of the year: Andy made a motion that we buy an ad in the Illinois Basketball Association program honoring three of our coaches – Brad Begeman, Keith Carothers and Rob Kuhn. One full page ad for $200. Donna Jansen 2nd.
- Trophy case: Sherri mentioned that we may need to update the trophy cases due to the girls’ new state hardware. Coaches Begeman and Carothers are discussing it. Andy will contact them to see if they need anything.
